Occupational Therapy

Our occupational therapists treat individuals of all ages who have conditions that limit their abilities to perform functional activities in their daily lives. We can work with you to improve motor control , coordination, sensory motor skills, decision making, problem solving and visual perception.

"Skills for the Job of Living"

In addition to helping you with daily living skills, Courage Center occupational therapists can assist in handwriting and improving school performance, or work on homemaking and community living skills.  Best of all, we make the activities of daily living fun. Our therapists help with the following areas:

  • Daily living skills (also known as the "activities of daily living" - dressing, feeding, hygiene, etc.)
  • Decreased strength for daily routines
  • Delays in development
  • Energy conservation/work simplification
  • Equipment needed to replace function
  • Fatigue when completing daily tasks
  • Fine-motor problems (use of hands)
  • Loss of skills after an accident, illness or injury
  • Memory problems
  • Problems with driving after a stroke or injury
  • Restoring ability to use arm and hand
  • Safety in your home
  • Sensory processing problems
  • School-related problems
  • Vision problems interfering with daily routines
  • Urinary incontinence
