The Community Thread Board of Directors presented Lisa Gacek with the Vi Russell Award for Excellence in Volunteer Leadership on March 10, during the Community Thread Annual Meeting. Lisa, who is Coordinator of Volunteers at Courage Center St. Croix, was honored for her outstanding leadership of volunteers. Courage Center St. Croix benefits from the assistance of more than 250 volunteers annually who contributed more than 13,000 hours of service in 2009.Community Thread is a non-profit human service agency connecting people and enriching lives in Washington County and Western Wisconsin.
